Pair of Antique Hallmarked Silver Topped Inkwells

In stock

This gorgeous pair of mid Victorian silver topped inkwells are for sale. The heavy glass inkwells are hallmarked for London and carry the maker’s mark for Edward & John Barnard.

They used this particular mark between the years of 1853-1869. The wonderfully crafted hinged lids feature an engraved scrollwork motif and each has an elaborate star cut

base. These inkwells measure 10cm high by 6.5cm wide and there are signs of use with some nibbles around the outer edges of their girth, but overall they are in very good

antique condition with no cracks. Enquiries welcome.
