A wonderful antique brass secessionist visiting card tray in the manner of Gustave Serrurier-Bovy.
This simple yet stunning tray is a fine example of the secessionist style, with the use of straight lines and geometric stencil patterns reminiscent of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
Gustave Serrurier-Bovy (1855-1910) was a Belgian Art Nouveau architect & furniture designer who was heavily influenced by the British Arts & Crafts movement and the writings of William Morris.
This tray is crafted from brass and sits on four raised feet. it galleried and decorated with a stencil style motif. It measures 36cm wide by 12cm wide at it's widest part and 4cm high at the tip of the handles. It Weighs 262g.
