Benin Style Bronze Oba Bust - SOLD

This wonderful solid bronze bust of an Oba (Ruler) has been expertly crafted from solid bronze. 

An Oba was the ruler and guardian of the Eto people & culture in the old Benin od Africa. They were crafting bronze at the same time as the renaissance in Europe and have become widely regarded as the equal of the European artists of the time. 

This wonderful bust dates from the mid-20th century and has carries a lovely green patination, making it a great display and
conversation piece.
