Originally created by Louis-Ernest Barias (1841-1905) who is well known for being of the Beaux-Arts school, this piece is a fabulous decorating piece. She is signed at the bottom and sits on a faux marble base.
This statuette dates to around 1890 and is in very good condition overall with some age related wear to the bronzing, which is a good indicator of age.
She measures 48cm H x 14cm W at base.
